Coastguard Radio.

The South Australian section of the Australian Volunteer Coastguard operates throughout the West Coast. The facilities vary quite a lot, but every station has at least 27mhz equipment.

Volunteers maintain a watch on the distress frequencies at all times, using automatic alarms if needed.

Details of the station locations and the frequencies available are to be found in the Tide Table book issued annually by Flinders Ports.

The Australian Volunteer Coastguard site provides further information and has links to other maritime safety organisations.
